I first thought this whole Folding thing had to do with laundry.
Once they've learnt enough i guess they would be able to use the knowledge in other fields of science, maybe even the cleaning sciences if you find this more important than the health aspect.

This brings up an interesting question for me:
Since the Mac mounts Windows FW drives no prob, couln't you just move the PC's HD to a FW enclosure, and connect it to the iMac?

You made an assumption I was referring to that statement. Either way, neither is dead yet and slow is a relative term that I dont agree with. Slower than AT&T in some areas? Sure. But not everywhere and it isn't slow compared with edge.
Yeah, but you cannot use CDMA abroad, unless your carrier approves your usage of it. As far as GSM goes, you can simply pop in a sim card and it will work (assuming the iPad is unlocked).
Also, the scalpers are sending them all over the world, and not just China. Besides, China (especially Hong Kong) also has GSM (China Mobile, the official iPhone carrier in China).

As for downloading maps on-the-fly, bad decision. True, I went many years using Google Maps for directions without major problems, but there definitely were some major headaches along the way. I can remember critical times when the I would be staring at a blue dot amongst a sea of gray. I mean, I still alive, so it couldn't have caused much trouble, right?

It's so you can have analog and digital audio and video, remote control commands, and various types of protocols coming out of one port. All the user needs to do is buy the one they need.

Supposedly the new EFI update for Mac Pro (just released) solves the PIO problem without needs to slipstream the XP CD. I won't know until tomorrow, however I already did the slipstream install....so who knows what will happen.

Target, Wal Mart and everyone else will continue to sell dvds and cds as long as they are making money from them. When they don't make any money from them they'll stop selling them and not before.
At the moment they are moaning about online distribution to get better prices from their suppliers, so they can lower their prices and / or make more profit from them. They'll also have their own download services as well when and where they can, provided they make money from them as well.
I can't believe either of them have or would threaten movie companies, especially as it won't get them anywhere - there is no way a movie company would say no to online distribution just because they told them to.
The cd / dvd market is no different to anything else that Target and Wal Mart sell, they will be using similar arguments with all of their suppliers all of the time. The only difference is that it ain't a story when its about vacuum cleaners, dairy products or kitchen cleaning products.

Sydde was talking about politicians from different parties working together towards a common goal where ideologies come together and blend into a solution that those with differences can agree upon.
the common man voted conservative because they understand that budgets have to be balanced in households so it should be the same with the government. Um the liberals did quite a good job reducing the debt and running a surplus, yes things got rough the last few years, but so far there hasn't been a lot of emphasis by the conservative party to balance the budget or to reduce our debt.

See what I'm saying? Now, some people may like the latter way but I much prefer iPhone's navigation, iPhone browser, and the App Store to Android. That said, I do like a lot of the Android features, especially the notification bar that just amazed me.

Imagine if people started exchanging SD cards. Initially lower capacities only will be available, but soon CD equivalent SD cards will be available, and soon after that the 1 and 2 TB cards.
Actually, cards larger than both CDs and DVDs are already available. Average CD is 700 MB, DVD is 4.7 GB (8.5 GB for double-layer), Blu-Ray at 25 and 50 GB. Max capacity now is 64GB as mentioned elsewhere in this thread. The electronics and office supply stores routinely advertise 8GB cards for $20...

I am very happy with my 13.3" MBA with 2 USB ports. But I have to admit, I am envious of the potential experience with the lightning fast Thunderbolt I/O in the latest MBP.
I started without Backlit Keyboard, and I am cool with that (although not as much elegant-looking, it saves unnecessary battery power).
And yes, I'd like to see a microfibre cloth included in the box! It's just too cheap yet important for any MBA users!
