I didn't say he should get more money. I said CBS will probably bring the show back because it make them so much money.

Reports are Cryer gets $1 million per. These figures include what they make on syndication too.

The that would bring the total between them to $80 million, which leaves everyone else with $20 million. That hardly seems OK or reasonable. There are a lot more people to pay and after that, what's left? I'd tell the guy to take a hike, especially with all the trouble he's caused.

While it is possible that it is a preventive filing, I think there are a number of indications that I mentioned that would suggest there is something more. However, it may be two years before we could even something if the tech isn't ready.

Frankly, I hope Apple never names anything "doPod." A marginal product of that name for anything would immediately be labeled "do-doPod."

    Brea Mall update:

Two employees came by about 10 minutes ago. They were counting the line, I am #204. line is at ~250-300, and they cannot guarantee stock for anyone just now getting here. For those who do come, I'm wearing a vintage Apple Mission Impossible shirt and am across from red robin.

I have nothing against Apple shareholders (both shorts and longs :D). It's just this is not a forum for them. This is their forum: http://messages.finance.yahoo.com/mb/AAPL

This is my new favorite post. You, the guy who owns no Apple products (save for a battery charger) and quite clearly dislikes Apple, telling someone they are on the wrong forum.

I'm not so sure the next iPhone will look like the current iphone 4. It probably will be, but i don't know.. They're delaying it and with the white one just released (which of course looks the same).. They've handed out prototype A5 iphones to developers just to make sure the new design won't be leaked. I think Apple could come out with a surprise regarding the design of the next iPhone.

Non violent people don't tend to use assault to solve their problems.

You mean as the perpetrators did, right? Just checking.

Not sure if I would consider "AJA, BlackMagic, and Promise" to be "industry demand." :) I'll give ya Promise.

I would think having names like Western Digital, Sony, HP, Maxtor, Iomega, and Seagate a lot more proof that TB is being adopted. USB 3.0 has been gaining momentum by leaps and bounds over the past year.

I have a feeling TB is going to be the next Firewire: sure, it works, but USB is so much more dominant at basically the same speeds. But I don't really care at the end of the day...just something much much faster than USB 2.0 for my hundreds of gigs of data that I copy/move around a bit.

And yes, for the true true true speed fans that need the best of the best of the best in their profession...sure, buy what you need.

Matrox has already been highlighted at NAB ~ you missed that. LaCie is an original with "The Little Big Disk" being a small RAID SSD drive with TB expect that mid-summer (salivating over this with aluminum body and very small package).

USB3.0 will have its place for the commoner but with TB that'll be its last generation; I presume.

Question (I'm surprised nobody asked this yet): Does TB bring back MBP Disk Mode? The option to hold "T" on boot up to turn your Mac into a HDD and carbon copy data to external or migrate/image from external to internal?

I also vote for a port replicator type box for MBP/iMac lineup unit.

I'm still on the hunt for a Corei5 Quad-Core iMac (I'm still confused why Apple downgraded from that to dual-core i3's)?!!????

First, the volume switch issue, then this. I feel sorry for case manufacturers. What a nightmare.

Oh shucks, people have to buy all new cases to fit this slightly varied iphone.

Bill, I guess open another vault for all the extra money. We just ain't got no more places to put it.

my fear is the democrats will try to use this a political gain and that is so very wrong both to the military and for this good event.

It turns a great event into worthless BS. It was just luck of the draw that a Dem was in power when this happen and it was only a matter of time. I already am watching some people try to turn it into political gain and it makes me sick.

    Wow, this could be huge.

First of all, it looks like this is a using pre-built string. And from my quick research, this glitch is being listed for all "Universal" apps.

My guess is this is referring to a future touch-screen Mac.

I have compared the tech specs to the google cache. The battery time has been updated from 4.5 to 5 hours on the 15 inch. 17 inch remained the same.

so i just installed vmware... and ive got to say... its really not up to par with parallels... its sluggish on my MBP 2.0ghz with 2gigs of ram.... and i mean real sluggish... rebooting doesnt seem to want to work.... i do like the interface though but overall, its not that great to work with compare to parallels.... i do realize that this is a private beta but even in the beta stage parallels was much better.....
hope that the next build is more promising

also... i didnt see a way to change the amount of ram dedicated to the virtual machine other then by creating a new vm....

I'm with KookAid, I find that the Inspector is far more time consuming than a well laid out Icon Bar with drop boxes. Maybe it's because I've been using Microsoft Office forever. But I have given Pages a serious try and I find that I really like it, except for it's lacking AutoCorrection and Inspector.

    Randy

I'll take my Inspector over extra tool bars, unless someone provides contextual tool bars, something I haven't seen since my desktop publishing software Calamus SL on Atari ST. A lot of my software uses an inspector dialog of some kind and I'm pleased to have that instead of 3 or 4 or 15 tool bars, which take up more room. It's tough when the tool bars take more room than the text.

Maybe they'll even offer ground-breaking features like bi-directional text editing

Seriously, if Apple wants to compete in the word processing field, they need to start addressing people around the world, not just those who they consider guranteed target audience.

Tri-directional would be even better. You have to spend huge amounts of money to get RLTB (right to left, top to bottom) word processing and page layout in an international package.

It's available in the Canadian Store.

That's weird. On the web-site it says US only - coming soon to ROW.
