Funny stuff actually.

I take my classes online, and I recently made the switch to electronic note taking, with a web app I found on a Joli OS called Simplenote. It's great, everything sync's to "the cloud", there's tagging, indexing, searching, and I even made an application of it using Fluid so that I can launch it right from my dock. However, it lacks necessary options like highlighting something important. So I was wondering if anyone have seen or heard of an app that syncs to the cloud and has more features? One I can tag with searching like this one? I'm also looking for some kind of white board app where i can take notes on too and type text on it. Thanks.

I'm looking for an USB hub or two and a external Blu Ray reader(don't need a burner). I could go for an external enclosure and just take my bluray reader out of my PC and use it in that. But either will work.
Between an imac and the hubs I need a total of 10 USB ports. Would be nice if they were powered so I can charge the ipad.
Any good suggestions?
as far as usb ports are concerned i got a little white belkin from like ebay if i remember right and it has about 7 usb ports plus i use my 2 20" cinema displays because they both have 2 i believe?
look on new egg for an external case, or post in the market place!
good luck

Well, given how tiny the Nano is you shouldn't have any problem hiding it from him... ;)

I would have gotten a black MacBook if it had a rainbow badge. That would be so neat!

Hey all,
so I'm having a very frustrating time with Xcode 4 right now. When I try to run my program, it builds and launches the program, then I get the spinning beach ball in Xcode, but my program is running in the dock and I can go to it. However, Xcode needs to be force quit and relaunched. This doesn't happen all the time, but it happens in spurts, where it will be fine for a few runs, than it will crash every time for a few runs, and so on. It is very annoying.
Anyone else having similar problems, or know of ways to fix it? I have submitted my crash reports to Apple.
Thanks,
Dan

Quite an upgrade? The page has almost no information anymore and only one picture of the store that doesn't really show what's inside.
If you click around the old one it even has a price list of stuff for Newtons. (Interestingly, the imac stand used to be a Netwon stand!!) :D
Yea, thinking about this, the old version of that page is way better and probably did a much better job at convincing people that they had to go see the Apple HQ store!

Hello,
Today I am trying to install ubuntu 11.04 in the lastest version of VMWare Fusion. I have installed it, but whenever I boot I get this screen:
http://i1107.photobucket.com/albums/h386/Blakeasd/Screenshot2011-04-28at110735AM.png
The tools don't install, I even let it sit for an hour. Is there anyway to bypass this installation of VMWare Tools? I tried to Cancel Installation of Tools in the menubar but that didn't work. I really want to try out Ubuntu 11.04.
Please Help,
Thanks

Instead of a loop, Id like to be able to just paint a broad stroke with a finger and see businesses under my finger pop up.

Agree with everything that davedee65 said. Also understand that tracing does not produce the end product; its product is much closer to the beginning. Your trace produces a lot of control points. You must now go through and eliminate most of those control points until your zigzag lines become smooth curves.

Thanks for clearing this up guys. I work in the affiliate marketing industry myself. I fully support a successful website's use of good technology to drive affiliate sales. It's a major part of how the Internet works.
What is concerning to me is that I wrote a comment, "nice affiliate link" in that thread. And my comment was deleted. not flagged or edited -- deleted.
This is what lead me to believe someone was trying to hide something.
It is possible your post added no value to the thread itself and it appeared trollish. Where a mod may have known of the auto-affiliate fill-in, many here may not have. I am one of them to be honest. That said, if my reply to that post was "nice affiliate link" then I would only assume it was deleted because it added no value. This thread, your thread, adds a great deal of value because again, as a long-time member with a few posts up her sleeve, I really never noticed this happening nor did I stop to think about it.

I guess you're asking how to encapsulate the animation behavior so it can be easily reused. Good question.
I haven't implemented this so I can only give you some ideas off the top of my head.
One way would be to write an animatingView class. This view has a couple methods that animate the view onscreen and offscreen. Create one of these views. Add any subviews that you like. The animating view has to be added to the view hierarchy (addSubview) with a frame that is offscreen and then animated onscreen and later animated offscreen. The view also has to be removed from the view hierarchy (removeFromSuperview) once its animation offscreen has completed.
Another way is to add the functionality, which is several methods, to a UIViewController subclass and then derive all of your other view controllers from this subclass.
It's also possible that you could add the functionality to UIViewController with a category. It seems that there's probably no state that needs to be maintained so you don't need to add any ivars. Just a few methods. Adding this as a category might be a good way to do this.
Without implementing it myself I'm not sure which of these strategies will work and which is the best.
