Sad news, indeed.
Joshua 1:9 -- "For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
Or, Josuha 1:9 as translated by Levinas: "I will not abandon you nor will I let you escape."

Hello everyone,
I would like to know a good case for the iPod touch 2nd gen I own. I would like something with a slim profile and solid (no silicone) protection, and minimal if any graphics. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Got this about a month ago but used just for a couple hours. I just prefer my revolution.
Comes with box and everything for $42.00 shipped CONUS. The little baggy and batteries are still sealed.
I have had transactions here, on ebay and on head-fi if you are wondering. I can post pics in a bit.

I'm using a PowerBook G4 running Panther (v10.7.3), with an HP LaserJet 1200 connected either directly by USB or through AirPort Express.
My problems started as a result of one of two simultaneous events. It began when I decided to become efficient. So I bought a) an A5 Filofax into which I could insert alphabetically listed addresses, and b) an AirPort Express.
I set up the AirPort Express, including plugging in the USB from the printer to it, and adding this wireless printer as "HP LaserJet 1200 Living Room" (I couldn't see any way to change the name) in Printer Setup Utility.
I would have liked to use a different name, to make it easier to distinguish the two LaserJets from each other - the driver that operated when I had the printer plugged directly into the computer by USB, and the driver that operated through the AirPort network called Living Room.
All seemed well; I was pleased with how easy it was to print off my normal A4 documents.
I set to work and spent a day typing up my 29 pages of addresses and making them properly alphabetical, setting up the document as an A5 one.
Then I put some A5 paper in the printer and pressed Print, choosing the "Living Room" LaserJet 1200. Printing started halfway down the page, and leaked off the left-hand edge.
I spent the rest of the day, and the hours between 4am and 6am last night, trying *everything*.
Finally I thought of something else. I plugged the printer directly into the computer, chose the USB version of the printer and pressed Print, and it printed off happily.
So obviously the "Living Room" version was corrupt. I deleted it.
Then I went to print out something I was writing and wished to edit, still using the USB directly plugged into the computer. It printed it out starting halfway down the page and leaking off the bottom edge.
I deleted this printer too, and then pressed Add Printer (both in Printer Setup Utility). The Setup Utility offered me two identical options of HP LaserJet 1200, among other options. I chose one and tried. It printed off the edges. I deleted and chose the other and tried. It printed off the edges.
I deleted the Printer Setup Utility Preferences and restarted, and went to Add Printer again. Again it offered me two HP LaserJet 1200 items. I tried Manual; it told me that there were multiple versions of the printer description.
I searched for and deleted the printer description (only one) for HP LaserJet 1200, and also for HP LaserJet 1220, just in case, and restarted. I went to Add Printer, and there they were again, the two HP LaserJet 1200 items.
I tried using an Apple LaserWriter item instead. Still printing off the edges of the pages.
I'm now officially stumped. What have I not done? What should I do? What is causing the problem?
Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to be clear about what I'd tried and not tried. If there's anything I've not tried.First, you don't need to tell your life story. You need to explain the problem with your printer. You also need to explain how you set-up your printer. If you want help, the rest is more information than we need.
IIRC, you cannot use the USB driver for a printer that you have networked. Download and install the GIMP-print CUPS driver for the LaserJet 1200 when accessing it over your network.

You need to put a colon before "Category", for example:
[[:Category:XYZ]]
Exactly what I needed to know. Thanks.

Does Apple still do this? I have heard that you can get huge discounts on a Macbook Pro by subscribing to this instead of the student discount. However, I can't find anywhere on the website for it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

It's not a JRPG. But it's much more like what a "real" RPG would be like. You assume the character and play whatever ever role you decide... you don't play as a pre-existing character that never (or rarely) talks... or who has a mind of his/her own. The character is supposed to be you, not just someone else you are controlling.

Yup. Volcano (http://rcdb.com/installationdetail474.htm) and Shockwave (http://rcdb.com/installationdetail91.htm) at Paramount's Kings Dominion (http://rcdb.com/locationdetail16.htm). Was there the first full weekend in this month. Went to Busch Gardens (http://rcdb.com/locationdetail20.htm) the day after, but didn't take any pictures.

Hello everyone!
I am wondering if somebody could help me. For the last 3 months I have been working on creating an animated stopmotion film. I have created the real 3D sets, done the clay figures and shot the still images. As I am not very good with computers and all the settings that there are, I just imported every single image from iPhoto into Imovie and changed the time lapse for each image to 0,2 and thats how I created the animated film. It looks good, but since the film is now over 5 min long, the software (or can it be my computer?)gets really slow. Sometimes I cant even watch the video, and definitely not in the full size mode, just on a small video image in imovie.
I am getting really stressed about this now since I have put so much work into it and just want to finish the project (maybe add another 2 more min) and export it to a dvd with as good quality as possible.
I started to read about imovie and discovered it isnt supposed to be used for stopmotion. So.. I just got istopmotion and did a small test reimporting just onescene, then trying to export it, and importing it into imovie (i like using imovie because of all the possibilities of playing around with contrasts and colors)
But now the quality of the images looks really bad. It isnt at all as sharp as before. I have tried so many different settings while exporting from istopmotion, but it doesnt seem to make much difference. I am working in 4:3 ration, and the best option seems to be HD ( but in 16:9 only) so that doesnt seem to work.
Does anybody have any advice for me?
Should I use a completely different software for this and start from scratch?
Or is there maybe just some small trick that I am missing??
I would be very thankful for help!
Lia
What codec is istopmotion exporting the video at? It's probably compressing the video before you send it back into iMovie which is exactly what you don't want it to do.

You may not even need the drivers since many are pre-installed under Panther. At work we have many HP B&W laser printers that I am able to connect to via rendezvous, just hit "print" and when the dialog box comes up scroll down to "rendezvous printers." Then see if the printer you want to connect to is in the list. I did have to download a driver for a Zerox Phaser we have - no big deal though as it was only 5-7 minutes to dowload and install.

I always make sure to buy a picture frame while I'm still on whichever trip I'm taking. That way when you get home you not only have a great souvenir, but you can freshen it up by switching a different picture in it from time to time.
I've ended up with some very cool (and a few kitschy) picture frames, but the theory is if it can hang on the wall, it isn't clutter. Right?
If you're looking local, just bring your picture with you when you go to look at frames. There are hundreds to choose from.

The El Capitan case has had a good run, but it needs to be put out to pasture already. It's a good design, but it's now stylistically behind the times. I wouldn't mind seeing a new case in the spirit of the Xserve, thicker (to accomodate more expansion cards) but not as wide as the Xserve, with a brushed aluminum front panel and the ability to be mounted either horizontally or vertically. Kind of like a more expandable LC form factor.

Definitely not China if you're going for the 3G model, since it requires extra approval from multiple government agencies, and the first generation of iPad WiFi+3G hasn't made it to the market so far...
